John Elliott of Emeralds has a new side project, and it sounds, well, pretty much like Emeralds. Busting out the same twirling arpeggios and space-age arsenal championed by the Cleveland trio, Outer Space is Elliott’s ” laboratory for electronic investigation”. Spend some quality time zoning out to the “Memory Bomb” clip and grab “Scanlon (excerpt)”, which is also featured on his debut LP. There’s no digital release, but you can buy it from Arbor Infinity for a cool $16 (it was mastered by Keith Fullerton Whitman!).
