Touchy Mob: Nice Place to Crash My Plane

Berlin’s Touchy Mob sent his stuff our way about three weeks back, and I made the incredibly poor decision to not check it out until now. He’s got 3 fantastic releases up on his bandcamp, all of which sound completely different. While the recent (ish) Yeah EP flaunts minimal, freeze-dried techno (he describes it as “ravy” and beatmatchy”), No errs on the folkier side of things. In addition to a Caribou remix, a Cold War Kids cover, and the Karl Blau-repping “Screw Tin Eyes”, it includes the lovely slow burner of “Nice Place to Crash My Plane”. The track builds from a soft, looping strum to a whirlwind of synths and heavy knocking beat. It’s being offered up for the low low price of free, so you’ve got no excuse not to check it out.
