fungi girls describe themselves via their myspace as “western swing”, which is an oddly appropriate term for their particular brand of lo-fi, hazy, indie rock. this texas duo (no surprise there) make anthems for days in the desert heat, the south, and western movies. and on top of that, they’re all still pretty young, so to be able to create music as wonderful and unique as this highlights their maturity as songwriters
